timely, timely

From Donna Leux: We now have an official  Days for Girls team in Calgary Alberta!  I just received the official Letter of Welcome from Days for Girls International.

Plans continue for the upcoming workday in Calgary for Saturday, Nov 8th.  I am busy trying to coordinate this event, but want I want to present it in a way that this will be a launching pad for many more Days for Girls individuals and groups to pop up in and around Calgary.  I presently have at least forty people who have indicated they or their groups are interested, which is exciting and overwhelming at the same time.  I'm getting to the point where I could use some help in co-ordinating this whole thing, someone to help bounce ideas around.  If there is someone there who would be willing to come on board as a co-leader or to help out on a core team, let me know.  Sewing skills are not necessarily a priority for this, but I could some help in planning & coordinating things, and we could possibly meet in the next week or two to pull things together.
Also, in preparation for this workday I am needing some volunteers who could help with supervising  the various work centres.  Please let me know if you are  willing to help with this, especially if you have already been sewing  items for the kits.

Information will follow shortly about the details for the Nov. 8 Workday.
You'll be hearing more about it at the Nov 8 workday & in days to come.  I'm so excited that we can now unite as a city for this amazing cause.  You'll be hearing more in the weeks to come as we continue to organize ourselves.   It's a new experience for me, and I'm excited and nervous at the same time, but with support of women across this wonderful city, we will together make a difference in the lives of girls and women all around the world.
